The Baby Tiger Cubs Celebrate 1rst Birthday

If there is one thing I have learned about Busch Gardens, it is that they LOVE to celebrate Birthdays. 3/31 and 4/1 were dates that proved to be no exception. Cinta, Bundar, and Rukayah are now 1 year old.

In it's traditional fashion, Busch Garden Tampa had a birthday celebration for the three baby cubs on Monday, March 31st. There were many enrichment items for them and mom, Bzui, to enjoy for the afternoon. Busch Gardens is well known for doing it up for birthday parties and making their animals the stars. As shown the tiger cubs knew they were the stars on this special day.

Monday proved to be a fun-filled afternoon for the tigers and for the guests of Busch Gardens. Busch Gardens took it one step further and invited the first 100 guests to Tiger Lodge on Tuesday, April 1rst to get a special behind the scenes peek as to what goes on in the Tiger environment. The lucky guests were able to tour the indoor housing where the tigers are kept when not on the environment. Information was shared about the interaction of mom and the cubs. They were also able to see the toys that the adult tigers get to play with at times.

Miss out on this event? No need to be concerned. Busch Gardens does offer a Jungala Insider Tour where you get to meet the keepers and go behind the scenes for both the Bengal Tigers and Bornean Orangutans. There is also daily designated times where the keepers come out and answer questions about the animals.

Busch Gardens Tampa prides itself on it conservation efforts concerning their animals. Be a part of that by visiting the park often and watching the animals grow like I have with these baby tigers. Busch Gardens offers an Annual Pass and a 2014 Fun Card as options to visit the park all year round. Support Busch Gardens in their efforts by showing up and sharing your love for the animals and/or donate to the Sea World & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund to help protect these animals and other endangered species out in the wild.
